Artie Cox
Coach Artie Cox – 52 years old, born and raised in Astoria, Queens, has spent the last 28 years as a fixture in New York City’s high schools and AAU basketball. Coach Cox has captured six CHSAA City Championships as a head coach, and five as an assistant at Christ the King High School. He has helped build strong AAU programs with Riverside Church, BQ Express, and Team Odom Basketball Clubs.
Artie joined the New Rens family in January 2012. He is the head coach of the 14U-8th grade team. He oversees three New York based high school teams, and serves as the New Rens Chief of Staff.

Hector AlmodovarDerrick Green
Among the roster of players 31-year-old Almodovar has coached are Kemba Walker, Doron Lamb, Shane Southwell, Shaquille Stokes, Sandro Carissimo, and Josh Watkins. Coaching Gauchos from 2005-2009, Almodovar led the 9th and 10th grade teams to top 4 positions in the nation in both 2008 and 2009. Over the years, his teams (which have also included New Heights, Fastbreak and Team Roc) have won such prestigious tournaments as 145th St. Rucker, Gauchos Roundball, UDC, Young World and Just Say No.
